New Toolkit for Responding to Homelessness in our region

The Fundy Regional Service Commission, in collaboration with partners from across the region, has launched a Homelessness Response Toolkit to help residents, businesses, community organizations, and municipal staff respond effectively when they encounter someone experiencing homelessness.

What the Toolkit Offers:

  • Practical guidance for common situations, like interacting with someone outdoors or appearing in distress.

  • Educational resources to learn about homelessness, including language tips to communicate clearly and respectfully.

  • Local resources for shelters, mental health support, and other services.

How to Use It:

Visit our toolkit page to access and consult the toolkit, which includes a link to download a printable version. Keep it handy or share it with others in your community.

Homelessness can affect anyone in the community, and knowing how to respond makes a practical difference. The toolkit gives clear steps and local contacts, helping you support people effectively without guesswork.
