As the holiday season approaches, here are two quick reminders to help your waste and recycling go smoothly:

A. Check for Holiday Collection Changes

Holiday weeks can shift your collection day. To avoid missing a pickup, sign up for free collection reminders. You’ll get automatic alerts about holiday changes or weather delays.

1. Go to our Calendar & Wizard page.

2. Enter your address in the calendar box and follow the prompts from there
   OR download our App, Fundy Recycles, available on Google Play and Apple’s App Store.

B. Recycle Your Batteries Safely

More toys, decorations, and electronics mean more batteries are used. Here is how you can recycle them safely and avoid fires:

1. Use the Waste Wizard and search “batteries” to find drop-off locations near you.

2. Batteries should NEVER go in your curbside recycling or garbage.

3. For lithium, button and 9V batteries, tape the ends so they don’t spark together in storage and cause a fire.
   Now they are ready to take them to a recycling location near you!
