Call for Committee Nominations
The Fundy Regional Service Commission (FRSC) is seeking qualified individuals to serve on three key committees. These committees play an essential role in shaping regional transportation, community planning, and community development decisions across the Fundy Region.
Available Positions:
Regional Transportation Committee (RTC) – At-large positions
Community Development Committee (CDC) – At-large positions
Planning Review and Adjustment Committee (PRAC) – Three member positions
Committee Responsibilities and Requirements
Community Development Committee
The Community Development Committee supports initiatives that empower communities, foster inclusivity, and improve health and well-being across the region.
Expertise: Affordable housing, homelessness response, healthy communities, social inclusion, or related experience
Term: 2 years, with eligibility for reappointment
Committee meets 6-8 times per year.
Regional Transportation Committee
The Regional Transportation Committee is responsible for guiding the development and execution of regional transportation planning in the Fundy Region.
Expertise and/or Interest: Public transportation, active transportation, infrastructure, planning, or related fields
Term: 2 years, with eligibility for reappointment
Committee meets 8–12 times per year
Planning Review and Adjustment Committee
The Planning Review and Adjustment Committee provides subdivision and variance approvals and advice on other community planning matters, such as rezonings, for the Fundy Rural District and Village of Fundy-St. Martins.
Members must reside in either the Fundy Rural District or the Village of Fundy-St. Martins (see map here).
Applicable skills: Familiarity with land use planning and development, building, law, engineering, and/or local governance.
Term: 4 years, with eligibility for reappointment
Remuneration: $100 per diem per meeting plus travel expenses
Committee meets 6-10 times per year on the third Monday of each month
