FUNDY-ST. MARTINS
A Rural Plan is a land use regulation or by-law that helps guide development and minimizes the potential for conflicting land uses by establishing zoning standards and permitted uses within each zone.
The Fundy-St. Martins Rural Plan (By-law #11) was approved by Village Council on September 3rd, 2024. The Rural Plan sets out the Council’s long-term priorities and establishes clear policies to guide decision-making within the realms of land use; housing choice and affordability; infrastructure and services; arts, culture, and heritage, and climate change; and to inform operating and capital budgeting and priorities. The Rural Plan applies to the entirety of the Village of Fundy-St. Martins and is divided into several zones.
The Rural Plan replaced the former Simonds Parish Planning Area Rural Plan, Saint Martins Parish Planning Area Basic Planning Statement, and the Village of St. Martins Rural Plan.
