Do you want to help shape the future of waste programs in the Fundy Region?
We are looking for passionate individuals to join our Solid Waste Engagement Committee.
As a member of the Committee, you will play an essential role in the decision-making process to help shape the future of solid waste programs across the Fundy Region.
Available Positions
One member of the business community (Finance)
One member of the environmental community (Environment)
One resident of the host community (Social)
One young adult (18–29 years old)
One member of an identifiable underrepresented group (e.g., Indigenous, Newcomer, Low income)
Committee Responsibilities & Requirements
Apply your skills: Bring your experience or interest in strategic planning, public engagement, environmental management, community/committee involvement, personal commitment to waste reduction, circular economy goals, sustainability, and/or climate action.
Make a meaningful impact on regional waste and sustainability initiatives
Meetings: Meet 3–6 times per year at Crane Mountain Landfill (10 Crane Mountain Road, Saint John)
Term: Serve a 2–4 year term (renewable by Board motion)
Remuneration: $100 per diem per meeting + travel expenses
