We’re Hiring: Regional Physical Activity Coordinator
You’re someone who is passionate about recreation, sports, and physical activity. You have a desire to create a stronger community by making active living accessible to all.
You’re a natural collaborator who enjoys working with a variety of groups—from municipalities and schools to sports clubs and community organizations. You’re also organized and comfortable taking the lead on projects, managing timelines, and measuring success to ensure initiatives have a lasting impact.
As the Regional Physical Activity Coordinator, you will work with and support community groups and organizations, Fundy Region municipalities and the Rural District to enhance a culture of active living by increasing sports, recreation and physical activity opportunities across the region. The Coordinator will also support the Fundy Region Physical Activity Partners Table in the coordination and implementation of the Regional Physical Activity Action Plan.
What You’ll Do
Build Partnerships: Connect with municipalities, schools, sports clubs, and community organizations to increase participation, improve accessibility, and promote inclusivity in recreation across the Fundy Region.
Strengthen Regional Collaboration: Support community-led solutions, connect and consult with physical activity champions around the region and create communication channels.
Coordinate events and initiatives: Work closely with regional partners to coordinate, implement and assess sports, recreation and physical activity opportunities across the region.
Support Resource Sharing: Investigate ways to support sports organizations in sharing resources and building capacity.
Contribute to Regional Strategy Play a supporting role in the development implementation, marketing, monitoring, and evaluation of aspects of FRSC and its strategy.
Take on Other Responsibilities: Take on other tasks as required.
What You Bring
A post-secondary degree or certificate in recreation management, recreation/sport study, or a related field.
At least three (3) years of experience in the field of sport, recreation, and physical activity.
Event and project management experience is an asset.
Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Ability to travel throughout the region to attend meetings and events.

Term: one-year full-time employment with opportunity of renewal.
Salary: Annual salary range is $63,000-$73,000/ year,
Comprehensive benefits package.
Location: Fundy Regional Service Commission uptown office. 20 Broadview Ave., Saint John, NB.
Position does require occasional travel throughout the region and province to events/forums
