We’re Hiring: Public Education Assistant – Summer Student
Fundy Regional Service Commission is responsible for the safe and effective delivery of recycling, compost, and waste reduction programs to residents of the Fundy Region.
You are passionate about reducing waste. You compost & recycle everything possible and understand the importance of keeping garbage to a minimum. You are an excellent communicator and comfortable talking to people – lots of people of all ages, including children.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Educate residents about recycling and composting
Conduct waste audits & curbside surveys
Maintain accurate data collection
Attend local events, markets and festivals to promote waste reduction and to assist with waste reduction activities.
Office administration tasks such as answering the phone, filing & data input
Deliver and develop camp program activities to local camp organizations
Conduct Puppet Show for Grade 2 students
Research, review and edit information for website.
WHAT YOU BRING
You are a post-secondary education student
Excellent communications skills, organized and responsible
Passionate about the environment and waste reduction
Bilingual is a definite asset
Valid driver’s license
DETAILS
Full-time Hours (36.25 hours/week), Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:30 with some weekends and evenings
May 4th to August 28, 2026
$17.69 per hour
