FundyTRAC:
Fundy Travel Activity Survey

The Fundy Travel Activity (FundyTRAC) Survey collects information about how people travel across the Fundy Region in their daily lives. This includes where trips begin and end, why they are made, when they occur, and what modes of transportation people use.

The survey takes around 20 minutes to complete.

Common questions

  • A travel activity survey gathers detailed information about how people move throughout the Region. This includes:

    • Trip origins and destinations

    • Purpose of each trip

    • Time of day

    • Mode of travel (car, transit, walking, cycling, etc.)

    • How often you do everyday activities and your opinions on travel and transportation

These surveys help build a clear picture of regional travel behaviour. They are widely used by transportation planners, engineers, and local governments to guide long‑term planning and investment.

By participating, you help ensure that future transportation decisions reflect real travel patterns and community needs.

To deliver this survey, we are partnering with Dalhousie Transportation Collaboratory (DalTRAC), a national leader in transportation research.

  • The results of the FundyTRAC Survey will support the development of the Regional Public Transportation Plan to be completed by the Fundy Regional Service Commission and broadly inform transportation and infrastructure projects within our region.
